The Science Behind Attipas

Attipas is a baby shoe developed based on research findings, designed to provide a walking experience akin to being barefoot.

Walking barefoot allows infants to fully utilize the natural sensations of their soles and the range of motion in their toes, making it ideal for those just beginning to walk. However, in modern society, opportunities for babies to walk barefoot outdoors are limited. This necessity led to the creation of Attipas.

Attipas was launched in 2011 following seven years of joint research and development with the Cognitive Behavioral Development Center at Seoul National University.

Through repeated testing to answer the question, "How can we replicate the sensation of walking barefoot?" Attipas was perfected. Even in environments or climates where going barefoot isn't feasible, Attipas allows babies to walk without hindrance, protects them from injuries, and promotes proper foot development.

BIG TOE BOX
The rounded and bulbous toe design allows your baby's toes to move freely in all directions — up, down, left, and right. This movement helps improve balance using the toes, which also contributes to the development of cognitive and motor skills.
LIGHT WEIGHT
To recreate the feeling of walking barefoot, we designed the shoes to be lightweight and easy on little feet. Weighing approximately 40 grams, Attipas encourages the joy of walking freely! (Weight may vary slightly depending on the design and size.)
EASY TO CLEAN
Attipas shoes can be hand-washed or machine-washed. Thanks to their excellent quick-drying properties, they can be washed as often as needed and are ready to wear again in no time.
ANTI-SLIP SOLE
With a non-slip sole, Attipas supports safe and stable walking for your baby—whether indoors or outdoors.
THIN SOLE FOR BAREFOOT FEELING
The ultra-thin, lightweight sole is specially designed to minimize interference with the ground sensation and all the stimuli your baby feels through the soles of their feet.
FLEXIBLE SOLE & SNAG FIT
The sole, heel, and sock-like upper are designed with flexibility and a snug fit, making the shoes easy to put on and difficult for babies to kick off.
BREATHABLE DESIGN
Ventilation holes on the sole help release heat and improve breathability, keeping your baby's feet cool and comfortable—even if they tend to sweat a lot.
